This course introduces students to the use of free and open-source software (FOSS) in analytical chemistry for data processing, analysis, and interpretation. It covers practical workflows for handling data from spectroscopic, chromatographic, electrochemical, and crystallographic techniques using widely adopted open-source tools. Students will learn how to import and preprocess experimental data, apply basic corrections, visualize results, and perform quantitative and chemometric analyses. Emphasis is placed on reproducibility, transparency, and good scientific practice, enabling students to develop autonomous and reliable data-analysis skills applicable to real analytical chemistry problems.
