The Translation module for second-year students aims to develop advanced translation competence through the study and practice of specialized texts. Building on the foundational skills acquired in the first year, the course introduces students to domain-specific translation in fields such as scientific, technical, medical, legal, and journalistic discourse. Emphasis is placed on terminology management, textual analysis, stylistic adaptation, and the application of appropriate translation procedures to ensure accuracy and functional equivalence. Students are trained to conduct documentary research, use reliable reference resources, and apply the different translation strategies. The module combines theoretical insights with intensive practical work to strengthen autonomy, precision, and critical decision-making in specialized translation contexts.
