This module presents a comprehensive study of industrial maintenance, with a particular focus on the oil sector, where the reliability and safety of installations are essential. It explains the historical evolution of maintenance, from simple corrective upkeep to a strategic function influencing production and costs. The text defines maintenance according to the NF EN 13306 standard and details its technical, administrative, and managerial actions. It describes the main objectives: equipment availability, quality, safety, profitability, and environmental protection. The different maintenance policies are presented: corrective, systematic preventive, condition-based, and predictive. The document also explains the organization of the maintenance department, its internal functions (methods, scheduling, execution, management), and its position within the company. It outlines practical operations such as inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and overhaul. A five-level maintenance classification is proposed based on the complexity of the interventions. Finally, it introduces the concepts of Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) and their indicators for optimizing equipment performance.
