This module covers most aspects of hydraulics and the transport of Newtonian fluids. The student is expected to be able to describe the operating principles of pumps and compressors and to select appropriate machines for given applications.
The main objective of this module is to apply the theoretical background acquired in the fluid mechanics course to the operation and control of pumps and compressors, in order to minimize or prevent the various problems that may arise in these machines and, consequently, to understand the theoretical and practical intervention procedures required to resolve such issues.
