This course introduces students to the essential language skills required in technical and industrial fields, with a focus on oil and gas contexts. It equips learners from Drilling, MCP (Maintenance – Control – Production), Production, and Fuel Transportation specializations with the vocabulary, communication strategies, and functional English needed for workplace tasks. Through practical lessons, students develop their ability to understand technical instructions, describe processes and equipment, follow safety procedures, and communicate effectively in professional settings. The course includes practice with technical reading, listening to real-life instructions, and participating in workplace conversations related to operations, maintenance, and transportation activities. By the end of the course, students gain confidence using English in technical environments, improving both their academic performance and future workplace communication.
