This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of chemical risk prevention in industrial environments.

It focuses on helping students understand:

• What chemical hazards are

• How to read and interpret a Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

• How chemicals can affect health and the environment

• Basic prevention and protection measures

The course is adapted to the real conditions of Algerian industrial sectors, especially oil & gas facilities, storage terminals, and maintenance operations.

At this level (L2), emphasis is placed on understanding and identification, rather than advanced quantitative risk modeling.
