This course introduces the fundamental principles, technologies, and applications of renewable energy systems, with a particular focus on geothermal energy. Students will learn about heat transfer mechanisms within the Earth’s crust, types of geothermal resources, and energy conversion systems for electricity generation, heating, and cooling.

The course also covers other forms of renewable energy such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass, providing a comprehensive overview of sustainable energy solutions. Emphasis is placed on resource assessment, system integration into energy networks, and environmental impact analysis.
