The Seismic Data Processing module introduces Master 1 geophysics students to the basic principles and steps used to convert raw seismic data into clear and interpretable seismic images of the subsurface. It focuses on understanding seismic signals and noise, data corrections, filtering, velocity analysis, stacking, and an introduction to migration, with the aim of improving data quality and enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio. By the end of the module, students gain a solid foundation for analyzing seismic data and preparing seismic sections for geological interpretation and advanced studies in seismic exploration.
