This lecture offers an in-depth exploration of the geographical characteristics of Great Britain, including its physical landscapes, climate patterns, natural resources, and human settlements. It explains how geological history and environmental processes have shaped the country’s diverse topography from the mountainous regions of Scotland and the uplands of Wales to the lowland plains of England.

In addition to physical geography, the lecture addresses the spatial distribution of population, urbanization trends, regional economic structures, and patterns of land use. 

This course explores the historical, political, and cultural development of the United Kingdom from its origins to 16th century. Students examine key events  that have shaped modern Britain, gaining insight into its identity, traditions and culture.

The aim of the course is to introduce students to British  civilization such as institutions, attitudes, aspects of social, cultural and everyday life, and also improve the students' Knowledge and 
language skills.
