I. Course Information
Faculty: Hydrocarbons and Renewable Energies and Earth and Universe Sciences
Department: Hydrocarbon Production
Target Audience: 1st year Master's students, specializing in Production
Course Title: Surface Production.
II. Course Overview
This course on Surface Production and Gas Processing is intended for first-year Master's students specializing in Hydrocarbon Production. It provides a concise synthesis of several works (see bibliography) that allow students to gain a thorough understanding of processing facilities in oil and natural gas production fields. It covers the role of these facilities in ensuring the safe transport and regular supply of produced hydrocarbons, the non-polluting release of commercially worthless components into the environment, and the optimization of hydrocarbon extraction from natural oil and gas reservoirs.
Through this module, students will discover the techniques for various processing operations in crude oil and natural gas production fields to make them commercially viable according to international standards.
This course is structured into four chapters or learning units and a general introduction. The learning units are described below, and the detailed course outline is available online.
