his project work aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of advanced power electronics converters and their applications in modern energy systems. The main objective is to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical implementation through the design, simulation, and analysis of high-performance converter topologies. Emphasis is placed on multilevel inverters, bidirectional DC–DC converters used in renewable energy systems.
Students will model and simulate various converter configurations using software tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and evaluate their performance in terms of efficiency, total harmonic distortion (THD), switching losses, and power quality.
