This course is designed for second-year undergraduate automation, electronic & Telecommunication students. The main purpose of this course is to introduce students with analyzing various electrical circuits, whether in direct current or alternating current, using the PSIM software. Additionally, they should be able to measure current, voltage, and power in single-phase and three-phase systems. Finally, a brief review of electrical machines, both static (transformer) and rotating (direct current machine).
General objectives:
Develop student’s competency in electrical parameters measurement and analysing in both DC and AC circuits. In addition, Develop student’s competency in electrical machine simulation (Transformer and DC motor).
