
This course introduces the fundamental concepts, techniques, and tools used in artificial vision systems. It aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how machines can automatically reproduce tasks performed by the human visual system and interpreted by the brain.
Students will learn about the main components of an artificial vision system and the role of each component in system design. The course covers image acquisition, digitization, processing, analysis, motion estimation, feature detection, and machine learning techniques applied to visual data.
