The module Clinical Research Methods and Animal Experimentation introduces students to the fundamental principles of scientific research methodology applied to biological, agri-food, and experimental fields. It covers the design of research protocols, experimental methods, ethical considerations, and the analysis and interpretation of scientific results.

Target audience
This module is intended for first-year Master’s students in Agri-food and Quality Control, as part of their methodological and scientific training, in order to prepare them for research work and experimental studies related to their field of specialization.

General objectives
At the end of this module, students should be able to:

  • understand the fundamental principles of scientific research methodology;
  • design and organize an experimental protocol adapted to a specific research problem;
  • master the basic principles of animal experimentation within a scientific and ethical framework;
  • analyze, interpret, and present results obtained from an experimental study;
  • develop critical thinking toward scientific approaches and outputs;
  • apply these skills in the fields of agri-food and quality control.
