This PLC laboratory work is conducted using the Siemens S7-300 and the TIA Portal environment.
In the first session, students become familiar with TIA Portal. They learn how to create a new project, configure the PLC hardware, set up input/output modules, establish communication with the PLC, and load a simple program into the controller.
In the following sessions, students practice programming in Ladder Diagram (LD) based on different industrial specifications. Using the laboratory maquette, they implement and test control programs. They also learn how to wire sensors (inputs) and actuators (outputs) to the PLC correctly and safely.
The objective of this TP is to develop students’ practical skills in PLC configuration, programming, wiring, and troubleshooting in an industrial automation context.
