This course is designed for Third-year undergraduate Electronic students. The main purpose of this course is to introduce students with the basic principles of power electronics and the use of power components, using the PSIM software. Additionally, they should be able to analyze the different structures of power electrinics converters.

 General objectives:

Develop student’s competency on basic principles of power electronics and the use of power components. In addition, acquire a better understanding of key static converters.
