The Human Nutrition module provides an in-depth understanding of human nutritional requirements and the biochemical mechanisms underlying nutrient utilization. It examines the physiological functions of macro- and micronutrients, their recommended intakes, and the nutritional interactions that influence metabolic homeostasis. The course also explores the impact of dietary habits on health, the prevention of nutrition-related diseases, the assessment of nutritional status, and the development of dietary strategies tailored to different population groups.

Target audience: third-year undergraduate students in Food Technology and Quality Control.
