This subject aims to prepare students to comprehend the key concepts of sedimentology and be able to distinguish between the different types of sedimentary rocks. At first it will be necessary to begin by introducing  the main terms and definitions,  the genesis of the sedimentary rocks,  the dipositional environments,  the classification of sedimentary rocks and its minerals.
