This course on Structural and Regional Geology in semester 5 covers a range of topics related to structural geology and interpreting geophysical data. The course includes an introduction to tectonics, the study of faults, folds, joints, tension faults, and other structural markers. In addition, the course explores regional geology in the Southern Domain (including the Hoggar and Eglab Basements and the Saharan Platform) and the Atlas Domain (including the Saharan Atlas, High Plateaus, and Tell Atlas).
The course includes tutorials on faulting, folding, and regional geology topics, with assessments through exams and continuous assessment. Upon completion of the course, students will have the necessary knowledge of structural geology and stratigraphy to interpret geophysical data effectively.
