The Lab Works of Digital Communications module provides students with practical experience in digital data transmission over wired and wireless channels. Through simulations and hands-on experiments, students study the principles of baseband transmission and implement various line coding techniques, including NRZ-L, NRZ-M, NRZ-S, and BiØ-L. Using dedicated experimental kits, they also perform and analyze different digital modulation schemes such as ASK, FSK, and PSK. The module enables students to encode, decode, and evaluate signal performance, strengthening the connection between theoretical concepts and real-world digital communication systems.
