This laboratory module complements the theoretical course in power electronics by allowing students to analyze, simulate, and test the operation of basic power converters. Through practical sessions, students study rectifiers, choppers, inverters, and AC voltage controllers under different load conditions. They will observe current and voltage waveforms, calculate performance parameters (form factor, ripple factor), and compare experimental results with theoretical predictions. The lab aims to strengthen students’ understanding of power semiconductor devices, converter characteristics, and their applications in electrical machines and energy systems.
